Authorities are seeking help from the public in identifying the truck driver who struck and killed a man who had just gotten out of a vehicle on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike late Wednesday in Middlesex County
Giuseppe Zuccarello, 78, of Queens, New York, was found dead about 8:35 a.m. Thursday on the northbound truck side of the Turnpike in East Brunswick, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.
Investigators determined Zuccarello had been driving a box truck that he parked on the side of the road. He was fatally struck by a passing vehicle after he got out at about 10:50 p.m., investigators said.
