On 11/13/2023 at approximately 0457 hours the Berlin Police Department was dispatched to the area of Route 30 and S Franklin Avenue for a report of a serious motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle and a pedalcyclist.
A preliminary investigation by the Berlin Police Department and the Camden County
Prosecutor’s Office Crash Team determined that Vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on
Route 30 approaching S Franklin Avenue. The pedalcyclist was traveling northbound on S Franklin Avenue approaching Route 30. The pedalcyclist attempted to cross over the White Horse Pike where it was struck by the eastbound vehicle. The driver of Vehicle 1 immediately stopped and remained at the scene. The operator of the pedalcyclist later
succumbed to their injuries. A witness who observed the crash reported to police that themotor vehicle had a green signal when it crossed the intersection of Route 30 and S
Franklin Avenue.
